Landry's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
I have asked a team of committed friends and family to join and support me on this journey. Together, we have set a fundraising goal of $35,000!
My mom survived thyroid cancer. After she concluded treatment she looked for a way to help others going through their cancer journey. After my great grandfather was diagnosed with Leukemia, my mom found LLS and found a connection with their mission. She supported LLS through fundraising in conjunction with completing three marathons and volunteering at Light the Night. When I had the opportunity to volunteer at Light the Night this past October, through my school’s DECA chapter, I knew I wanted to support this organization.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Cancer impacts millions of lives each day. My goals for this campaign, in addition to raising awareness and advocating for those battling cancers, include making a positive impact in my community and being part of something bigger than myself. My campaign will provide support to the critical work of LLS in hopes that one day no one will have to grow up without the ones they love. With your help, I can reach my goal and make a direct impact in the fight against blood cancers.
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
